About

I specialise in mission-critical HVAC designs. The projects I have undertaken in my career are vast and very diverse. During my career, I have designed, project managed and commissioned mission critical HVAC systems for the semiconductor and wafer fabrication, pharmaceutical cleanrooms, test laboratories ventilation, industrial fume exhaust systems, data centres, control rooms, hotels including but not limited to warehouses and commercial office fit-outs.

Energy efficiency in HVAC has been and will always be my passion. I am concerned about the state of our climate and the debates around it; with different stakeholders vying for different directions on how we should be tackling climate change. Fundamentally, there should be more effort put into “reduction before production” strategy. Reduce if not eliminate energy waste, use efficient equipment and designs.

Indirect heat and mass cooling plantIn 2011, I conceptualised and designed a 465kWr cooling and heating plant for Adelaide University Hub Central, and led the design team to the successful implementation and commissioning of the project. The HVAC system was subsequently commended for Innovation and Research Development by Engineers Australia, South Australia in 2012.

An Advanced IoT-based System for Intelligent Energy Management in Buildings

My strong understanding of HVAC processes, local government regulations, Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia has enabled me to innovate and produce energy efficient solutions in my designs.
